Entry Requirments:

  • IDs:
    • Collect 100 points of ID:
    • Drivers license (40 points)
    • Student ID card with photo from Aus. Institute (40 points)
    • Passport (70 points)
    • Birth certificate (70 points)
    • Key card (25 points)
    • Medicare card (25 points)
  • Evidence (just bring what you have):
    • Letters of current and past employment
    • Apprenticeship papers
    • Résumé
    • 2x reference letters from licensed tradies you have worked with
    • Overseas qualifications (if applicable)
    • Transcripts/assessments from previous qualifications related to this course
    • Statement of Attainments (partially completed certificates and transcripts)
    • Work examples/samples/photos/videos
  • Assessment:
    • You have the choice of being assessed either online or face to face.
    • Face to face applicant will have a conversation with our assessors covering questions for each unit.
    • For gap training, application will need to complete theory or practical assessments as requirement.
    • To achieve this qualification, the candidate must demonstrate competency in:

      18 units of competency:
      • 13 core units
      • 5 elective units.

  • Technology:
    • Uses calculators
    • Uses and operates a range of tools and equipment correctly and safely
    • Properly starts up, operates and shuts down equipment
    • Carries out pre- and post-operational checks on tools and equipment
    • Performs tool and equipment maintenance as required
